Department of Biochemistry – GDC Tral, Pulwama

The Department of Biochemistry at Government Degree College, Tral was established in the year 2018 and plays a pivotal role in imparting foundational and advanced knowledge of biochemical principles to undergraduate students. Established as part of the college’s broader science faculty, the department focuses on the molecular understanding of life processes, bridging the disciplines of biology and chemistry.

    The department offers undergraduate course in biochemistry as part of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) NEP program. These courses are designed in accordance with the curriculum prescribed by the University of Kashmir, the college’s affiliating university.

  • Laboratory Facilities:
    The department maintains a well-equipped laboratory (20 x 40 feet) that supports practical learning and experimentation in core areas of biochemistry. Students gain hands-on experience with instruments used in biochemical analysis.
